Work created by the artist Niki de Saint Phalle in Capalbio, in southern Tuscany, on the border with Lazio. The Garden, which is located within an olive plantation, is accessed from an entrance pavilion designed by the Ticino architect Mario Botta in collaboration with the Grosseto architect Roberto Aureli. The space is populated by figures inspired by the major arcana of the tarot, that is 22 statues that recall, in more playful forms, the “monsters” that populate the well-known Viterbo park of Bomarzo.
